DC Power FC and Lexington SC draw in Washington

WASHINGTON D.C. — DC Power FC remained undefeated with a 0-0 tie against Lexington SC at Audi Field on September 12, 2025.

It was a back-and-forth affair on Friday night. Power’s slight edge in possession time, 54% to Lexington’s 46%, failed to materialize scoring opportunities with only 2 shots on goal and 11 shots in total. The offensive pattern of attack was seen early when 11 minutes into the match, Forward Jaydah Bedoya received the ball in space, streaking towards Lexington’s penalty box only to be surrounded and stifled by four Lexington defenders.

Aggressive play from Power’s forwards and midfielders would create an opportunity into Lexington territory, only to find themselves on an island amid the Lexington defense, unable to find a shooting window.

Power’s defense held strong and limited Lexington to just 3 shots on goal as Goalkeeper Morgan Aquino posted a clean sheet, making it her sixth for Power. Defender Sydney Cummings led the defense with 10 duels won and eight clearances. Looking at the games ahead, she emphasized, “we were better today in possession, but now it’s [about] possessing up the field to then convert.”
